Full Editorial Review/Manuscript Development

This process is nearly as much consulting as writing or editing. Sometimes it's hard for clients to know objectively where they stand with a writing project. They may have begun the process sometime ago and worked on it in occasional bursts of energy over time, but now need fresh perspective on the best next steps.

The writer may have a variety of materials gathered in a file—notes, partial drafts, examples, seminar content, interview transcripts, research data, case histories, outlines, etc.—but need help knowing how to proceed from that point.

Whatever the status of a manuscript or project, an editorial review or manuscript development plan can get a project back on track. I can evaluate existing drafts and materials in light of the client's stated objectives, provide a written assessment of the project with recommendations for the way to move forward, including an estimate of the type and costs of editorial services being proposed.
