Comprehensive Editing
What I call a comprehensive edit involves everything described in the previous section on word and line editing, but begins with a broader review of the manuscript to address any structural problems. This may include questions about overall concept, clarity of purpose, organization of sections or chapters, continuity and flow, logical development or use and placement of supportive materials and visuals.
